"With its dramatic, iconic architecture and a recently revamped interior, The Drayton Court makes a stunning impression inside and out. 27 boutique rooms provide some of Ealing’s finest accommodation, while the biggest beer garden in London is perfect for dining and drinking."

Concorde BGW were briefed to complete a garden re-design and extensive ground floor refurbishment of one of Ealing's oldest pubs. With 27 existing boutique bedrooms, we were tasked to produce a design that not only attracted new local customers, particularly to the garden in the hot summer months, but also providing a space that was far more welcoming and accommodating to the hotel guests.

Design & Build Details:

Throughout the project we stuck to a punchy colour palette and used bold patterns to inject a new lease of life into what was previously a faded old building. Through the clever use of zoning, we enhanced the service areas and created a cosier atmosphere.

We transformed a heavy reception into a light airy space with the use of classic, warm grey tones and fresh botanical prints. Within the main drawing room we created a sumptuous drinking den steeped in crimson colours, lush velvet-clad chesterfields and quirky colonial style accessories. We added antique mirror panelling, an opulent gold domed ceiling and a modern sputnick light.

Within the two existing bars we exposed an original white brick wall in the saloon bar and opened up a skylight, cladding the surrounding ceiling with reclaimed timbers. Particular design features within the main bar include sulphur lighting, bespoke beer gravity lights and a stunning cantilevered zinc table with a reconditioned vintage fireman’s sprinkler head transformed into a light feature from Revivalist.
