The Pilot is now a local pub in every sense of the word with a fresh design portrayal of a classic British pub.
Concorde BGW were approached to complete an extensive design and build refurbishment of The Pilot in Chiswick. This beautiful Victorian pub had become dated with a gradually fading character hence a desire to create a welcoming, warm environment customary to a traditional pub with an improved use of space.

DESIGN AND BUILD SOLUTION
"The Pilot is now a local pub in every sense of the word with a fresh design portrayal of a classic British pub
– a bold fusion between the contemporary needs (with all the mod cons) and a preservation of the traditional ambience.
A complete revamp of the main frontage included a crisp white colour scheme to accentuate the Victorian architectural details, vintage signage and feature decals to the large period windows.
The re-introduction of the historic corner entrance and moving the kitchen upstairs allowed us to completely re-configure the pub to make way for a larger, open dining area that overlooks the stylish new garden.

The new bar area boasts a striking zinc topped servery contrasted by a full height aged metal bar gantry complete with vintage ladder and wine racks.

The interior walls have been carefully stripped back to original brick with vibrant gloss painted timber paneling, brightly upholstered pub stools and sturdy upcycled tables. Eclectic artwork and the vintage upcycled lighting sourced from Revivalist completes the scene.

The new bright dining area features intricate floor tiles that successful compliment the colourful fixed seating and furnishings and draw the eye across the dining room and out through large bi-folding doors into the exterior seating area.

The innovative garden characterics include a raised deck seating area, a feature barbecue and an outdoor bar that creates a terrace which has now become a destination venue in itself. The bar area exudes vintage character and a mixed selection of loose and fixed seating creates dynamic zones strategically covered and shaded by waterproof sail awnings. Feature planting and festoon lighting provide a finishing flourish to this wonderful outdoor space.
